RENTING AN APARTMENT

We can help you to rent an apartment on the basis of your needs and likes which you can send us after registering in our system and ordering this service.  This service includes searching for an appropriate flat, arranging appointments to visit the flat, negotiating with landlords, etc. until the contract is signed. *

About the expenses of a flat:

If you rent a flat you have to pay a deposit that is usually a 2-month-rent fee. (You get the deposit back at the end of the lease contract if there is no damage done in the flat.)

The rent fee of an apartment is usually between 30 000 and 150 000 HUF / month. (It depends on the size and the location of the flat.)

Overhead: It contains heating, water supply, electricity, community fee. (The community fee is for cleaning and lightening of the staircase.) The overhead costs in average 25 000-50 000 HUF/ month. These expenses can be higher in wintertime and also lower in summertime.

Cable TV and internet: These expenses depend on the speed of the internet connection and number of channels you have. In Debrecen there are many internet service providers but not all of them are available everywhere. For more information please contact us.

(Example: The fees of the biggest service provider:

Cable TV: 2 500 HUF (35 channels-most of them are in Hungarian) - 6 500 HUF (76 channels) / month

Internet:  2 500 HUF (download speed 1 Mbit/s upload speed 0,25 Mbit/s) - 9 000 HUF (30 / 4 Mbit/s) /month)

TEMPORARY ACOMMODATION

If you want to rent a flat it takes at least a few days. During this time the University can provide you a temporary accommodation in a Hotel (Classic***) in Debrecen where you can stay on a weekly basis.
